Graciela Loyola:
I was born and grew up in Mexico City . Then I moved to Chihuahua where I managed over 1,300 employees for Hallmark Cards, Inc. Subsequently I worked for Lancôme, the 3M Company, and Cyanamid Labs. Four years ago, I moved to San Miguel. For my first two years, here, I worked at San Miguel's Guajuye Glass Factory, managing 200 employees, then I begin working for Casas de San Miguel. In addition, as Board Member and Treasurer of San Miguel's Biblioteca, I brought a four-year deficit into the black in a single year.
I own my own home here in San Miguel, have four children, and two grandchildren.
Peggy Blocker:
Originally, from Houston , I have lived the last 20 years in San Antonio . I speak fluent Spanish, having grown up in Argentina and Venezuela .
I have been coming to San Miguel for ten years, but only recently decided to move here full time. My previous work experience includes management work with the Hyatt Hotel chain and a partnership in the Crockett Hotel in San Antonio . My focus in both of these endeavors was on customer service and quality control.
More recently, I've had my own antiques business in San Antonio . In addition, I have been on the boards of the San Antonio Museum of Art and the Witte Museum , and have been a member of the Friends of Latin American Art for 17 years! I have one daughter who is currently a senior at Texas Christian University .
