Whether you are dealing with our front office, or the individuals who make up our housekeeping, bookkeeping or maintenance, property sales or rental staff, you will encounter the same warmth of spirit and sincere desire to provide you with the information you need.

We like to think of ourselves as a professional family- a team of players who are ready to assist you.  In any company, it’s the owners who set the tone.  Therefore, at this point, you should know more about the “team coaches”:

Graciela Loyola:

I was born and grew up in Mexico City where I married and had 4 children.  I worked for Lancôme, the 3M Company, and Cyanamid Labs until I moved my children to Chihuahua.  During the 12 years we remained in Chihuahua, I worked for Hallmark Cards, Inc. managing over 1,300 employees.  Nine years ago, I moved to San Miguel de Allende, where I managed over 200 employees at the Guajuye Glass Factory as Plant Manager.  Later, I began working for Casas de San Miguel until 2003, when my business partner, Peggy Blocker, and I bought the Management portion of this business.   In addition, as Board Member and Treasurer of San Miguel’s Biblioteca, I brought a four-year deficit into the black in a single year.

I own my own home here in San Miguel and enjoy having my children and 4 grandchildren nearby.

Peggy Blocker:

Originally, from Houston, I have lived the last 20 years in San Antonio.  I speak fluent Spanish, having grown up in Argentina and Venezuela.

I have been coming to San Miguel for 15 years, but 5 ½ years ago I decided to move here full time when my business partner, Graciela Loyola, and I decided to buy the Management portion of Casas de San Miguel.  My previous work experience includes management work with the Hyatt Hotel chain and a partnership in the Crockett Hotel in San Antonio.  My focus in both of these endeavors was on customer service and quality control.

More recently, I’ve had my own antiques business in San Antonio.  In addition, I have been on the boards of the San Antonio Museum of Art and the Witte Museum.  I have one happily married daughter who lives in San Antonio.
