Our secluded home is set amidst mature trees and bougainvillea and tropical ferns. The house is filled with light from towering windows and skylights. The pool is situated between the main home and the separate casita. There is an outdoor kitchen and gas grill for indoor-outdoor living. The pool and spa are solar-heated. The tropical garden draws a variety of unusual birds. The hummingbirds play in the waterfall that flows into the pool which is edged in rock to resemble a natural lake. Our house is equipped with high-end appliances, luxurious linens and tableware. It is decorated in the Mexican style with classic furnishings, boveda ceilings, tile floors, and colorful walls. Our housekeeper comes five and one half days a week. She is a terrific cook and can prepare a variety of foods including Mexican specialties. Fabulous restaurants close by. Five minute walk to the world-famous Instituto de Allende which overlooks the city and offers classes in language and arts.
